Nursery
During the school year, there is a volunteer-staffed nursery available for infants and toddlers while parents attend adult classes.
Sunday School
Sunday school is offered during the school year following Sunday worship and fellowship time. Classes are available for kids aged preschool – Kindergarten, and first-fifth grade. Class time includes music, Bible lesson, a craft, game or other hands-on project, and prayer. The first-fifth grade class also chooses a service project each semester (homeless kits, volunteering at Idaho Food Bank, craft kits for kids in hospitals, raising funds for missionary efforts and local charitable agencies). Preschool Bibles are presented to children as they enter the Preschool-Kindergarten class, and kid’s Bibles are given to children as they enter the 1st-5th grade class.
Confirmation
Sixth graders are invited to learn more about what it means to be a Lutheran in our intensive confirmation class studying Luther’s Small Catechism with Deacon Calvin Miller. Classes begin in September and students who complete the course work and so choose are confirmed in May and are welcome to join in Communion with the congregation.
Youth Group
Junior and Senior High students are welcome to join Beautiful Savior’s Youth Group, to grow in faith, socialize with peers, and serve others. Youth group meets Sunday mornings during the Sunday school hour and for planned events and activities. This group is led by Katie Gardner, Youth & Family Ministries Director.
BSLC Preschool
Beautiful Savior Preschool is a Christ centered academic program where children can grow in faith as they prepare for kindergarten. Students who attend will be better able to listen, focus attention, and accept a schedule. They will also learn social skills and better understand their own feelings and the feelings of their friends. Students will be acquainted with numbers and counting skills and learn phonemic awareness to help them be ready to learn to read. Our program has been serving families in Southeast Boise for over 25 years, and we would be happy to have an opportunity to serve yours.
Beginning Years Childcare
The Beginning Years Child Care Center is an outreach ministry of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church serving families in Southeast Boise for over 25 years. Beautiful Savior views its childcare program as an integral and important element of its ministry. Beautiful Savior supports this ministry by providing facilities for the child care program and providing the ministry of its pastor to the children and parents enrolled in its program.
Camp Perkins
