BSLC honored their Lutheran heritage by celebrating Reformation Sunday, Oct. 27, during worship. Members were encouraged to wear red, the liturgical color for the celebration. As is tradition, the congregation joined in singing A Mighty Fortress is Our God, penned by Martin Luther. During the Children’s Message, Marty Kois walked kids through the history surrounding the Reformation, and the kids especially enjoyed hearing about the Diet of Worms. During the Christian Education hour, the Sunday school kids learned a bit more about Martin Luther.
Later that day, Lutherans from throughout the circuit gathered at Friendship Celebration in Meridian for a service and dinner.
