Beautiful Savior’s Sunday schoolers celebrated Reformation Day, October 31, with several hands-on projects.
- The kids watched Go Chatters! PlayMobil stop-motion video depicting Martin Luther’s life and role in the Protestant Reformation.
- They pinned the 95 Theses on the Castle Church door
- They tried their hand at writing with a quill pen and ink, then discovered how much easier it is to mass produce texts when they tried out a miniature printing press.
- The kids learned about Luther’s Seal and made coat-of-arms to represent their own interests.
- To wrap up the celebration, the kids enjoyed a treat of crushed Oreos (dirt) and gummy worms as they learned that the Diet of Worms was actually just a meeting in the town of Worms, Germany.
Thank you to the parents who volunteered at the craft stations and kept things moving smoothly!
Kids aged preschool through 5th grade are welcome to join us Sundays, 9:45-10:45 a.m., as we sing praises to Jesus, learn more about our good and gracious God through Bible lessons, play games, do crafts, and pray together. Meet us in the upstairs classrooms each Sunday.
